Asthma Treatment: Acute Mild Attack
Treatment for a mild asthma attack includes:
  • Monitor the peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR). Images
  • Follow your treatment plan. Images
  • Short-acting inhaler, such as albuterol:
    • 2 puffs, every 4-6 hours
    • Continue inhaler use for 24 to 48 hours
  • Continue additional medications as directed.
