Conditions that increase the risk of coronary artery disease include:
- Chlamydia infection
- Creased ear lobe

- Depression
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Hyperthyroidism
- Hypothyroidism
- Kidney failure
- Lupus
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Previous heart attack
- Psoriasis:
- Severe, requiring daily treatment with corticosteroids
- Severe anemia
- Sleep apnea
- Stroke
- TIA
Lifestyle choices that increase the risk of coronary artery disease include:
- Smoking
- High fat diet
- Obesity
- Lack of exercise
- Stress
- Poor oral hygiene
