What is arm pain?
A person with arm pain has discomfort in the structures of the arm. Arm pain is often caused by injury, irritation or inflammation of the skin, muscles, bones or joints in the arm.
What are the symptoms of arm pain?
Symptoms that occur with arm pain include arm redness, arm stiffness, arm swelling, reduced range of motion, arm tenderness and warmth.
How does the doctor treat arm pain?
The treatment for arm pain depends on the underlying cause. Options include: rest, warm compresses (if not related to an injury), antibiotics, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications for pain.
