Notify your doctor if you have an arm injury and any of the following:

Arm is deformed
Arm laceration
Arm numbness
Arm weakness
Hand numbness
Hand weakness
Pain that lasts more than one week
Pain that does not improve after 2 days of home care
Poor capillary refill in the fingers
Problems with your cast or splint
Severe arm pain
Severe arm swelling
Signs of infection:

Pus draining from a wound
Fever
Chills
Worsening redness and swelling around a wound
Red streaks spreading from a wound
