What is amblyopia?
A person with amblyopia has poor vision in one eye. Amblyopia is a condition that usually begins in childhood. Over time, the brain adjusts to accept signals from the good eye, and disregard signals from the poor eye. This leads to abnormal eye movement (strabismus). Amblyopia can be cured if it is detected early and treated during childhood.
