Home care measures for a taste change include:

  • Practice good oral hygiene.
    • Brush and floss your teeth twice a day.
    • Use a tongue scraper.
  • Stop smoking
  • Avoid exposure to secondary smoke
  • Avoid caffeine
  • Avoid alcohol
  • Avoid spicy foods.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Chew sugarless gum to keep your mouth moist.
