Agoraphobia Definition

A person with agoraphobia is fearful of being alone in public places. Individuals with agoraphobia are especially fearful of locations from which escape would be difficult during a panic attack. They tend to avoid situations such as being alone outside of the home, traveling in bus or airplane, or being in a crowded area.
