Home care for an acoustic neuroma includes:
  • Avoid caffeine.
  • Avoid alcohol.
  • Stop smoking.
  • Avoid exposure to secondary smoke.
  • Avoid rapid movements of the head and neck.
  • Lie still in a comfortable position.
  • Do not climb stairs.
  • Do not walk if you are dizzy or your balance is poor.
  • Take prescribed medications as directed.
  • Use a walker if necessary.
