The evaluation of Achilles tendinitis begins with a medical history and physical examination. Images

Physical findings in someone with Achilles tendinitis may include:
  • Warmth over Achilles tendon
  • Swelling over Achilles tendon
  • Tenderness over Achilles tendon Images
  • Redness to the skin overlying the Achilles tendon
  • Pain with range of motion in ankle joint
