A person with abnormal appearing urine has an unusual change in urine color or clarity.

Red or pink urine may indicate the presence of blood in the urine. Dark brown urine may indicate the presence of bilirubin. This can be seen in those with jaundice. Urine that is very cloudy may indicate infection.

The most common cause for darker than normal urine is dehydration.
