Notify your doctor if you have a knee injury and any of the following:

• Worsening knee pain
• Tenderness over the bones of the knee
• Worsening knee swelling
• Laceration or puncture wound to the knee
• Deformed knee
• Inability to walk
• Inability to move the knee
• Foot weakness
• Leg weakness (unilateral):
• Below the knee
• Leg numbness (unilateral):
• Below the knee
• Worsening skin redness and pain
• Red streaks form in the skin

If you are placed in a cast or splint, notify your doctor for:

• Worsening foot pain (unilateral)
• Worsening leg pain (unilateral):
• Under the cast
• Foot numbness
• Pale toes
