Physical findings in someone with eye pain may include:

• Abnormally large pupil
• Blurry vision
• Cloudiness of the cornea
• Eye redness
• Colored eye discharge
• Eye tearing
• Increased pressure inside the eye
• Swollen lymph glands in the neck

Tests are usually required to evaluate eye pain.

Tests that may be used to evaluate eye pain include:

• Measurement of the pressure within the anterior chamber of the eye
• Visual acuity testing
• Perimetry:
• Checking the entire visual field for defects
• Funduscopic examination:
• Normal retina
• Glaucoma retina
