Lipodystrophy Syndrome
Lipodystrophy syndrome is the abnormal distribution of fat in the body. AIDS treatment can cause the body to accumulate fat in the trunk and lose fat in the face, arms and legs.

Physical findings include:
  • Breast enlargement
  • Fat pad on back of neck
  • Increased fat around the waist
  • Increased fat in the face
  • Lipomas
  • Loss of fat in the legs and arms
  • Loss of fat in the buttocks
  • Sunken cheeks
